First of all, when I want to draw a Tamil bride, I made a frantic search in net, relatives’ marriages. Nothing satisfied me. I left it for some time. One day I accidentally came across this photo in net, it captured my mind. Immediately I sat down to work. Finished it.
Most difficult part with oil painting is how to clean your brushes after each day’s work.
Tips to clean the brush :
Use seperate brushes for light and dark colors.
First wash it in Thinner alternatively squezzing out the color in it with a cloth.
Then wash with soap(little) water. Dry it .

I had no knowledge about basoli painting. My glass paintings are in tanjore painting style. Original tanjore painting is done on mukt board. I am doing that one in glass. I searched basoli in net. I hope i can give a try. You are correct about the moughal art. I got some pictures of that period. I did those things in canvas. I am now doing some Victorian era paintings.
thanks for ur comments…
